Jennie P. Shoemaker

Mrs. Jennie P. Shoemaker passed away on July 12, 2025. She was born in Ringold, Louisiana on May 27, 1942, to the late James E. Powell Sr. and Mary Cherry Powell.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shoemaker is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Dean Shoemaker; her brother, Jimmy Powell; her brother-in-law, Glen Honley; and son by marriage, Jeffrey Lane Shoemaker.
She is survived by her children, Tammie M Tullos (Kirk); her children in marriage, Larry Dean, Jr. (Karen), Carl Brad (Angela), and Jeffrey Lane; her siblings, Carol Honley, Hunt Powell (Dana), and Jane Carver (Mark); her sister-in-law, Pattie Powell; her grandchildren, Kristina Dorminy (Jay), Chad Tullos (Chelsi), Angel Potter (Alan), Joshua Shoemaker (Lorie) and Bradley Lane (Eliza); her great grandchildren, Courtney Adams (Joey), Riley Potter, Maely Potter, Henri Tullos, Alex Tullos, Andrew Tullos, Gauge Shoemaker, Micha Shoemaker, David Lane Shoemaker and Joshua Dean Shoemaker; her great-great grandchild, Jameson Adams.
The family will receive friends at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home.
The services in Minden, Louisiana will be held at Eastside Baptist Church on Saturday, July 19th at 10 AM, with a graveside service at Lane Cemetery in Sibley, Louisiana.
