Jennifer L. Ballard, 53, of Silvis, Illinois, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements.
Jennifer Lyn Jacobsen was born July 15, 1972, in Silvis, Illinois, the daughter of Robert Earl and Nancy Lee (Rannow) Jacobsen. She married the love of her life, Randy Wayne Ballard, on April 6, 1994, in Rock Island, Illinois.
She loved learning and had a passion for education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in law and went on to complete her Master’s in Math and Science. She carried a strong faith and was a true believer in God. More than anything, Jennifer’s heart belonged to her family. She cherished being a wife and mother, finding her greatest joy in raising her children and creating lasting memories at home. In her free time, she enjoyed crafts, especially painting.
Jennifer is survived by her beloved husband, Randy Wayne Ballard; children, Britnee Lee Jacobsen, Victoria Lyn Jacobsen, and Andrew Rollin Ballard; grandchildren, Malachi Wayne Jacobsen, Viviana Lyn Jacobsen, Molliana Carlene Jacobsen, Giavanna Rosa Ballard, and Gabriella Maria Ballard; and siblings, Deborah Phillips, Colleen Trobaugh, Robert Jacobsen, Eric Jacobsen, Steven Jacobsen, David Jacobsen, and Janelle Herrmann. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nancy Jacobsen; brother, Jeff Jacobsen; and sister, Paula Ruefer.
Jennifer is now at peace, embraced by God’s love and reunited with those who went before her.
