Jennifer Dalton Cavanagh

Jennifer Dalton Cavanagh, 1965-2025. The shining light of Jennifer Cavanagh was darkened on December 28, 2025. Jennifer was the daughter of Thomas and Joan Dalton. She was born in East Chicago, IN and graduated from Canton Central School in Canton, NY. She attended Maria Regina College in Syracuse, NY and graduated with honors from SUNY Canton in Engineering Technology. Her working career began at Carrier Corporation and then at the Trane in Syracuse where she was deemed an outstanding Sales Representative for them and currently was employed by Seimans Smart Infrastructure. Jennifer was named to ASHRAE, the Honor Society of Engineering. She took pride that she was STEM before it became the vernacular for women in a male dominated field. Jennifer married the love of her life Mark Cavanagh, and together they raised Mark's son, Blake, and fully enjoyed their lives together in Oneida Castle, NY. Her joyful sense of humor, the tinkling of bells of her laughter, her enjoyment of all things culinary and her flair for fashion and décor delighted the world around her. Most important of all was the love of her family. Her caring and thoughtfulness to all those who loved her knew no bounds. She is survived by her mother, Joan Dalton of New Hartford, NY, her twin sister, Julie Dalton (Steve Milone) of Loudonville, NY and her brother Mark Dalton of Fairplay, CO. Jennifer's husband, Mark, preceded her in 2014 and her father, Thomas in 2025. Funeral services will be held in the spring, with a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, NY 13421.
