Jennifer "Sam" Ann (Lawrence) Dean, 57, of Albion, passed away on September 11, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.

Born November 12, 1967, to Jack and Dorothy Lawrence, Sam was known for her boundless compassion and steady warmth.

For 24 years, Sam dedicated herself to nursing, a career that reflected her deep love of caring for others. Her patients, their families, colleagues, and friends will remember her kindness, humor, and quiet strength.

Sam's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ernie Dean; beloved daughter, Jessie (Scott) Chrostowski; cherished grandchildren Harper, Jaxon, and Charlotte; stepdaughters Kayla Dean (Ben) and Jamie Vollant (Brett); her mother Dorothy Lawrence; sisters Jean Blackmer (Bill) and Jane Cope (Mike); brother David Lawrence; and her dear friend, Debbie Fuller. She was the adored "Gigi" to many nieces and nephews, loving each of them as her own.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Lawrence.

Sam will be remembered for her selfless spirit, her bright smile, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her love and laughter will be deeply missed and forever treasured.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sam's name may be made to Fairview Manor, 900 Manchester Rd, Fairview, PA 16415.

Per Sam's wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
