She was born September 2, 1972, in Sturgis, Michigan daughter of Gale and Daisy (Reaper) Bauman.
Jenny resided in Burr Oak nearly her entire life except for the 10 years she lived in Union City.
She had been employed by Morgan Olson and Sturgis Molded Products both in Sturgis and at Subway located in the Shell Station in Colon.
Jenny always enjoyed cold Pepsi or sweet tea, shopping, going to concerts and casinos, collecting elephants and unicorns. She was a fan of NASCAR and Jeff Gordon. Jenny had a deep true love for animals. It was not uncommon for her to have squirrels, racoons or most any animal that needed rescued. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandsons.
She is survived by her son: Jared Foster of Burr Oak; daughter: Sierra Gilbert of Colon; grandsons: Jaxton Davis and Jude Foster; parents: James and Daisy Priest of Sturgis; brothers: Chris Bauman of Burr Oak and James (Kerrie) Priest of Union City and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents: Hiram and Olean Reaper and Wendell and Betty Priest.
In honoring Jenny's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Jennifer Olean Bauman-Dunks will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 9th at the First Baptist Church in Sturgis. Pastor Doug Noonkester will officiate. Burial of the remains will take place at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
