Jen Folz-Smith, went to be the with the Lord on March 10, 2025. She lived a full life and made a point of enjoying her friends, family, and kids. She is looking forward to watching the Vols and the Cubs from Heaven, with front row seats to hear Jimmy Buffet. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Duane C. Smith. She is survived and missed by her parents, Bill and Pat Folz of Rockford; wife, Jess Smith of Byron; children, Ellis Folz-Smith and Kaia Folz-Smith; brother, Bryan (Melissa) Folz of Arlington, WI; mother-in-law, Nancy Smith of Bridgeview; brother-in-law, Duane D. (Kelsey) Smith of Evergreen Park; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home in Byron. A memorial service celebrating her well lived life will begin at 4:00 PM with Pastor Eric Lemonholm officiating. Memorials may be directed to The Glioblastoma Research Foundation or The Organization of Autism Research.
