Jennifer Goff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Freeman Mortuary - Jefferson City on Dec. 7, 2025.
Mrs. Jennifer Lynn (Alexander) Fischer Goff, age 77, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.
Jennifer was born on December 14, 1947, in Waynesville, Mo., a daughter of Curtis Gerald and Dora Elizabeth (Irwin) Alexander. She was married on May 21, 1991, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Gregory Brian Goff, and they were blessed with 34 years of marriage.
A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Jennifer was a 1966 graduate of Cole R-V High School in Eugene, Mo. She later earned an associate degree in applied science from Lincoln University, becoming a registered nurse in 1992.
Jennifer dedicated over ten years of her career to nursing in several central Missouri hospitals, including Capital Region Medical Center and St. Mary's Hospital. She later served the State of Missouri as a Medicare witness for more than 15 years until her retirement in December 2013.
Jennifer faced many hardships throughout her life with extraordinary courage and grace. She endured the profound loss of both of her children as teenagers due to a genetic disorder, and she bravely battled cancer for more than 50 years. Her strength was unwavering, and she met every challenge with patience, resilience, and a deep reliance on her faith. Jennifer was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Eldon, Mo., where she enjoyed the fellowship of the Ladies Guild, her pinochle group, and meaningful conversations during Tuesday Bible Study.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures: tending to her flower garden, crocheting afghans for those she loved, and spending time with her family. Jennifer especially cherished traveling throughout the Southwest United States, where she and Greg enjoyed train trips and visits to historical sites. Whether at home or on the road, her happiest moments were the ones shared with the people she loved most.
Survivors include: her loving husband, Greg Goff; two sisters, Linda Bell (Fred) of Buckeye, Arizona, and Karen Bond (Roy, Jr.) of Jefferson City, Mo.; three sisters-in-law, Sheri Miller (Mark) of Winchester, Virginia, Cindy Schupp (Jerry) of Russellville, Mo., and Karen Sanders (Gary) of Jefferson City, Mo.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved children, William Curtis "Billy" Fischer and Amy Lynn Fischer; her parents-in-law, Edward and Gwendolyn Goff; her nephew, Matthew Miller; and her great-nephew, Justin Sullens, Jr.
A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church and announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Wonderland Camp, 18591 Miller Circle, Rocky Mount, MO 65072.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary.
