Jennifer Collins Parel
Martinez, GA – Jennifer Collins Parel passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Martinez, Georgia on Wednesday evening, October 11, 2023 following surgery.
Jennifer was born in Augusta, Georgia on June 6, 1956. She is survived by her loving and caring husband: Jack; her loyal son: Jason Londino; grandson: Pryor Londino; brother: Mark Collins, and special cousin: Cathy Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents William E. (Gene) Collins, Margaret Collins and her brother Peter Collins.
Jennifer was a very caring and compassionate lady. If you were her friend, you had a friend for life. Her accomplishments were many but most remarkable was her ability to learn. She graduated from college with a degree in Business Administration when she was in her 30s and became a graduate from nursing school to become a Registered Nurse (RN) when she was 50 years old. Her passion was to care for the elderly in a nursing home or assisted living setting which she did. She loved caring for the elderly and those in need.
Jennifer never met a stranger. Most of the contacts in her phone directory were of people she met while shopping, which was her favorite hobby. She was a proven expert on the art of returning purchases to stores and sales outlets.
Jennifer's many friends were aware of her talent as an interior decorator. She had an incredible feel for design and settings. She helped many of her friends decorate their homes.
Jennifer was always very outgoing and bubbly, a true southern gal to the bone. One never had to guess what was on her mind. She was outspoken but supportive and loyal to all friends and family. The world is now a much sadder and most certainly a quieter place without her. Greatly loved and missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Westover Memorial Park and the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
