Jennifer Marie (Dion) Rasch, 53, of Winchendon, died Sunday, January 4, 2026, in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Utah, while admiring a view when snowmobiling with friends.
Jennifer was born in Gardner on July 14, 1972, to Gary Dion and Brenda (Theriault) Dion. She attended Narragansett Regional High School in the class of 1990, later went on to earn her GED, and returned to Fitchburg High School night classes to earn her high school diploma for her sons.
Jennifer loved to read, relax by the lake with a campfire, "Gary-Rig" DIY projects (as she affectionately named after her father), and more than anything loved to laugh with her family and friends.
Jennifer had a passion for taking care of anything with a heartbeat. She devoted her life to her three sons as the homemaker of her family while they were growing up - volunteering with the Cub Scouts of America, in the classroom and computer room at Baldwinville Elementary, the lunchroom at Narragansett, and cheering on her sons in their respective sports from the bleachers or concessions stand.
She also volunteered as an animal control officer for several years of her life and opened her home to dozens of foster and rescue animals thereafter. She could still name every animal she worked with at her time of passing.
Later in life, Jennifer worked as an Assembler at Starrett and a Packer at Specialized Paper Converting.
Jennifer is survived by her three sons, Joshua, Kyle, and Nathan Rasch; one granddaughter, Gracelyn Rasch; a sister, Holly Claypool; her father. Gary Dion; 3 nephews, Camden, Shane, and Hunter; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Dion.
Calling Hours will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Funeral Services will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
