Jennifer Stevens Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. - Dale City on Dec. 10, 2025.
Jennifer Ruth Stevens passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the morning of December 7th, 2025. She is preceded in death by her father, Frederick William Stevens, and leaves behind her son Joshua, mother Bernadine, and sister Cathy.
Jennifer, better known as Jen to her friends and colleagues, was born in Falls Church, VA, was raised in Dale City, VA and resided in Alexandria, VA. She attended Gar-Field Sr. High School where she participated in the band, both orchestral and marching, as a talented flutist. Jen graduated from Mary Washington University and thereafter would go on to embark on her life's journey with her greatest love, her son Joshua. A dedicated and loving mother, Jen raised her son in the Northern Virginia area and went on to share her gift of teaching children with autism throughout the Prince William County school system as well as most recently through independent consulting companies allowing her to work one-on-one with children in their homes alongside their families, which she found to be a most meaningful and effective approach. Dedicated to enhancing the education of those with special needs and expanding her path, she was most recently closing in on completing her master's degree and was set to graduate in the beginning of 2026 with a 4.0 GPA.
Jen had a spectacular memory, a flair for nostalgia, a fierce love of her cat, Cookie, and inherited what family members call: the 'Stevens' sense of humor. She loved music, both classical and classic rock. And in addition to that, she loved rocks. She found a true passion for learning and sharing knowledge about crystals and stones, a hobby that was ignited and nurtured by her cousin Wendy's local business. Jen loved to work at Wendy's shop, meeting and helping people find items for their spiritual paths. Her positive, patient energy, gentle and kind nature will be missed throughout her friends, family and all she touched, as she is undoubtedly gone too soon.
The viewing is set to take place at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home in Dale City, VA at 1pm with services to follow there at 2pm. If you would like to make a donation in Jen's honor please do so with the Sunshine Foundation.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jen's passing. I remember her and Cathy visiting and playing at our house in the summertime in Buffalo-swimming, playing Barbies and having fun. I wish we could have k own each other as adults. Family is forever though, Jen, you will always be my cousin and in my heart. May you rest in peace. Love, Melissa Galey-Quinones
