Jennifer Lois Treadwell, 66, passed away on August 11, 2025. She was born on February 7, 1959, in Lubbock, Texas, to Albert Lehman Rodgers and Margie Marie Owens. She was a devoted Christian who has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Lois graduated from Coronado High School in 1977. She married the love of her life, Lewis Lee Treadwell, on October 1, 1985, and together they shared 39 wonderful years.
When she wasn’t traveling and camping with Lewis and in-laws Frank and Anneliese Treadwell, Lois enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and fishing. She worked as a nurse’s assistant at St. Mary’s Hospital, later known as Covenant Medical Center, until her retirement in 2011. She was also a devoted member of Meadow First Baptist Church.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the first responders, community, and church members that helped search and bring her home.
Lois is survived by her husband, Lewis; her son, Travis W. Treadwell and wife Elizabeth of McKinney, Texas; her daughter, Rebecca A. Torres and husband Alejandro of Waxahachie, Texas; her sister, Lynda Britt of Shallowater, Texas; her brother, Eldon Rodgers and wife Darla of Lubbock, Texas; her nieces and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Laura Rodgers.
