Jennifer Mary Yohn

Our beloved Jennifer Mary Yohn passed away on December 2, 2022. She was 76. Jennifer was born in Bourbonnais, IL on April 28, 1946 to John A. Grimes and Lucille E. La Montagne.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Yohn, and her 4 sons: Dennis McGrath (wife Katie) of Colorado Springs, CO, Andrew McGrath of Philadelphia, PA, Joe Yohn of Lakewood, CO, and Sean McGrath of Heber Springs, AR (wife Carolyn, and children Declan, Laiken, and Evelyn). She is also survived by her brother Jay Grimes of Sherman Oaks, CA.
She attended the University of Colorado at Denver, where she graduated summa cum laude with a BA in History, and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. She was a substitute teacher for many years. She was known for her sense of humor and love of puns. A lifelong gardener, she particularly loved her rose garden, and planted a vegetable garden every Spring. She loved sports and was a big fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche. She was an animal lover, and had many dogs and cats over the years. She was an avid reader and conversationalist, and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be planned for Spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the United Way in her memory.
