Jenny Rebecca Johnson, 44, of Manchester, MD passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.
Born June 19, 1979 in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Jane (née Lafferty) Haynes. She was the wife of Rick L. Johnson, her husband of 25 years.
Jenny was a graduate of North Carroll High School and earned an Associate Degree at Carroll Community College. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, where she participated in Women in Mission. She enjoyed reading; the Baltimore Orioles; Adley, her miniature Huskie; Pumpkin and Beatrice, her two cats; and spending time with her family and her kids' friends.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her son, Bror Johnson and daughter, Lillian Johnson, both of Manchester; sisters, Elaine R. Geisler (John) of Hanover, PA and Amy C. Haynes-Martin (Steve) of Hartselle, AL; her niece and "adopted daughter," Becky Bowers of Cumberland, MD; nephews, Teddy Geisler, Austin Haynes; great-nephew Sawyer Haynes; sister-in-law and her husband, Kirsten and Randy Cosner; niece, Sarah Cosner; her in-laws, Keith and Lois Johnson; and cousins and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her friend, Heather Calhoun.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 1205 North Main Street, Hampstead, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or to Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD 21074 to help defray funeral expenses.
