Jenny Boudreaux Nicholas, of Lacombe, LA, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the age of 92. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Elaine Nicholas Darby (Jude) and Susan Nicholas Jones; her grandchildren, Phillip Darby (Kelly), Aaron Darby (Kaitlyn), Nicholas Jones and Andrew Jones (Kristin), and her great-grandchildren, Baylor, Alaina, Coleson and Hudson. She is also survived by her brothers, Errol Delahoussaye (RoAnn), Chuck Delahoussaye (Gloria), Peter Delahoussaye (Bobbie) and Chris Delahoussaye (Ginger). She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved fur baby Levi.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elaine Delahoussaye; her husband, Shelby, with whom she shared 64 years of cherished memories before his passing. She is also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Steve Jones.

After graduation from St. Martinville High School in 1951, she married the love of her life Shelby Nicholas. She was a stay-at-home mom until her daughters were of school age and then began working at Our Lady of Lourdes in Slidell, LA, as the school secretary for many years before becoming a teacher's aide in the St. Tammany Parish School System where she retired in 1991.

Jenny known affectionately as "Granny" loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan, especially of baseball, where she spent many years traveling to events to support her grandsons. She also loved the Saints and LSU Tigers, fishing, reading books, her bible study group, playing Bunco with friends and going to the casino.

Those who knew Jenny will remember her for her kindness, warmth, and generosity. She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Ochsner Home Health and to the staff and nurses at Interim Hospice, for the excellent care and compassion they provided during Jenny's illness.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service in Jenny's honor on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville, LA
