Jensen Josue Gonzalez, 1, passed away on March 4, 2022, at Ascension St. John Nowata. He was born on December 17, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Byron Gonzalez and Kayla Heitger.
Jensen was born a "heart warrior" and spent much of his life in the hospital. He was well known and the favorite patient of the nurses in the PICU and the CVICU. His favorite thing to do while he was at the hospital was take off his pulse oximeter, so the nurses would be alerted and come in and see him. He was always smiling, if he was having a good day or a bad day. Jensen loved everyone he encountered. He enjoyed playing with his toys, watching Peppa Pig and Blues Clues, and loved his big brother, Josiah. He will always be missed and loved by the people who knew him most.
Jensen is survived by his parents, Byron Gonzalez and Kayla Heitger; big brother, Josiah Gonzalez; his Nana, Loretta Parker; his Papa, George Heitger; his Abuelo, Byron Gonzalez; his Abuela, Esther Gonzalez; his great grandmother, Helen June Heitger; and his four aunts, Aldica Heitger, Jackie Heitger, Helen Heitger, Esther Kaiser, and Tia Sheila; his two cousins, Eleanor Randall, Lily Kaiser.
Funeral services for Jensen Gonzalez will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Nate Buckingham officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Benjamin Funeral Service.
