O B I T U A R Y
Jerald Eugene Reynolds
Jerald Eugene Reynolds of Summersville, Kentucky son of the late William Goebel Reynolds and Velma Lillian Riddle Reynolds, was born on Saturday, July 17, 1943 in Adair County and departed this life on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at his home following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. He was 82 years, 4 months, and 5 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Separate Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Adair County High School, then went on to serve in the military. He served his country honorably, having served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea. His military service continued for many years as a dedicated member of the Army National Guard, from which he eventually retired with honor. He went on to retire from International Harvester/Navistar.
He was honored to be a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed the outdoors, tending to the family farm, and caring for his beloved cat, Miss Kitty. He never missed a chance to bring smiles to parade crowds while driving his Shiner car as a member of the Mark Twain Shrine Club. He was also a member of the William B. Allen Masonic Lodge #704 F&AM and the Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Judy Wright Reynolds of Summersville, having united in marriage on November 6, 1970.
Other survivors include a daughter: Cindy Reynolds of Greensburg; a sister: Evelyn Reynolds of Louisville; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Jerry Wright of Bowling Green, Peggy Montgomery, Nancy Newton, and Ruby Jessie, all of Greensburg; two nephews and a niece: Paul Reynolds, Jimmy Reynolds, Rebecca Puckett; great nephews and nieces: Keith Reynolds, Kevin Reynolds, Sonja Reynolds, Jonathan Reynolds, Shannon Matthews; a special cousin: Kenneth Riddle; and a host of nieces and nephews from his wife's side of the family, other relatives, and friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: William Reynolds and James Reynolds; a sister: Ruth Noe; nephew: Mike Reynolds; and great-nephew: Rodney Reynolds.

The funeral service for Jerald Eugene Reynolds will be conducted at 11 A.M., Central Time, Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Liberty Separate Baptist Church Cemetery. His great-great nephew, Bro. Will Reynolds will be officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Central Time, Friday at the funeral home and after 7 A.M., Central Time, Saturday until time of the service.
A masonic service will be conducted at 6 P.M., Central Time, Friday by the William B. Allen Masonic Lodge #704 F&AM, with the remainder of visitation to follow.
***ALL MASTER MASONS TO MEET AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT 5:30 P.M., CENTRAL TIME.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Kosair Charities which can be made at the funeral home.
