Jeremiah Nesmith

With the Lord walking beside him, Jeremiah Douglas "Birddogg" NeSmith entered his eternal paradise in July 2025, and his passing was confirmed on September 2, 2025.
The family will receive friends and family in Sweet Home Baptist Church in Chauncey, GA from 10:00AM-11:00AM Saturday, September 27. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation, at 11:00AM Saturday, September 27, with Mr. Tom Jackson and Mr. Dwayne Williams officiating.
Jeremiah was born on November 2, 1979, in Eastman, GA, he was the son of the late Larry A. "Snagg" NeSmith of Cochran and the late Vickie Williams Johnson of Milan. While having spent most of his life in Milan, he would later call Cochran his home. He was a skilled carpenter, roofer, and handyman during his life. Though known to raise cane, Jeremiah loved the Lord. Jeremiah was a simple man and there wasn't much he didn't find a way to enjoy. But he really enjoyed bass fishing, bullfrog hunting, golf, playing basketball, supporting the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs, listening to a variety of music, and being in the outdoors. He also enjoyed hunting and collecting arrowheads. The one thing he enjoyed above all was spending time with his brown-eyed girl, Jordyn Maycee Lynn NeSmith. She was his pride and joy. Birddogg was preceded in his journey by his Aunts and Uncles, Harry NeSmith, Jerry NeSmith, Patricia Staples, Gloria Williams, Dwight Williams, Earl Williams, Steve Williams, and Dewayne Williams. Jeremiah's life and memory will live on through his loved ones.
Jeremiah is survived by his Daughter – Jordyn NeSmith of Cochran; Daughter by love – Aubree Darsey of Cochran; Best Friend – Melanie McNair of Cochran; Sister – Brooke NeSmith Dean (Jonathan) of Eastman; Step-Father – Joey Johnson of Eastman; Aunts and Uncles – Cynthia Smith (Chris), Peggy Selph (Warren), Thad Staples, Melinda Williams, Jane Dollie Williams, and Mary Sue Williams (Larry); Great-Aunt – Linda Williams Raley; Numerous cousins including, Randy NeSmith; Many extended family members and friends; Faithful Canine Companion - Champ.
