On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Jerry Stouffer Jr, 54, of Steelton died peacefully in his home after an 8-year battle with Pulminary Lung Disease. He was surrounded by his family and his beloved Pink Floyd playing in the background. Those who knew Jerry knew that he was a man of few worldly possessions and they know the various reasons as to why, but Jerry's legacy is more valuable than any material possession. He was a kind and loving soul. He always had a kind word for everyone around him. Even during times of his personal struggles, he always wanted to know about you and your life. His laugh was infectious and I'm sure if you knew him, you're smiling right now just remembering it. He loved his long-time companion Jeannie, their dog Bambi, music, A-1 Sauce, his friends (you know who you are) and most of all his family. He always was a mama's boy! He loved working for his dad Jerry Sr. and Brad at Stouffer's Construction and wore the black hat forever! He never forgot his stepmom Darlene's birthday and loved his sisters and his favorite cousin Andrea and her children. He wasn't a twin but he and his sister Tammy always shared a special bond.
Jerry Jr. is survived by his mom, Donna Thorn, Steelton, his dad Jerry Sr and Step mom Darlene, Lewisberry, his "sissys" Tammy Heil, Harrisburg, Kim Maurer, husband, Brian, Lititz, Pa, step brother, William Valora, wife Jill of Hartfield, Va, step sisters Tina Cooper, husband Ron of Boothwyn, Pa and Tami Funk, husband Bradley of Lewisberry, Pa, and many nieces and nephews that he loved.
Jerry wasn't perfect and never claimed to be, but he was always grateful for whatever he had. He recently met his great niece, and it moved him to tears. That's the kind of person Jerry was. A heart of gold. There is no list of accomplishments that could outshine that kind of legacy! Rest in Peace Brother Jer! You are loved.
