Jeremy Todd Augustin

Jeremy Todd Augustin, age 54, of Waconia, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in Brownsdale. Jeremy was born on July 15, 1970, in Austin, Minnesota to Victor Augustin and Lynda (Brant) Yates. He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1989. Following graduation, he attended Mankato State University and graduated from National American University in Minneapolis with a bachelor’s degree in IT. He worked for many years in IT at Lifetouch and Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. In June 2001, Jeremy was united in marriage to Heidi Sue Thorson in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple was married for 14 years until her passing in 2015. He was a talented musician who loved playing guitar and singing in his one-man band, “AugVanDog.” Jeremy also loved the great outdoors and fishing and pontooning with his son, Luke. He had a knack for bringing people together with his larger-than-life personality; he was a great host and very entertaining. He also enjoyed cooking, especially in his Instant Pot, and making his favorite food, cheeseburgers. Jeremy’s love for cheeseburgers ran deep – he had a large collection of cheeseburger memorabilia! He was our modern-day Inspector Gadget, and we always looked forward to seeing what new contraption he had for us. Most of all, we will remember Jeremy for the love and care he showed to each of us. He was a great man, and we will love and miss him forever.

Jeremy is survived by his mother, Lynda Yates of Brownsdale; sons, Luke and Thorin of Faribault; siblings, Jeff (LouAnn) Augustin of Duck Key, Florida, Pam (Tony) Severson of South St. Paul, Michelle (Dale) Taylor of Lamberton, Minnesota, and Jason (Kristie) Augustin of Hayfield; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Heidi; daughter, Isabella; and father, Victor Augustin. 

The memorial service for Jeremy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sargeant. The visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin and will continue for one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sargeant. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
