Jeremy David Graves, 46 years, of West Norriton, PA passed unexpectedly on Thursday, January 16, 2025. He was born in Great Lakes, Illinois in 1978 to Lynn W. Graves and Catherine J. Graves.
Jeremy's departure comes as an immense shock and a deep wound, and it is most greatly felt by the kindest life changing partner, love, confidant, and friend anyone could have asked for him to have, his wife Rebecca. Even now, they are truly devoted to each other.
Jeremy loved fishing, helping others, even if it meant learning something he didn't know, boating and cars. Did I mention fishing?!?! He was a great teller of tales. The stories he has shared with all are one of a kind. Literally, the same story would change every time he told it, to everyone's delight and amusement.
Jeremy spent most of his childhood in Cherry Hill, NJ. After proudly graduating from Cherry Hill High School, Jeremy joined the United States Navy, serving 8 years 7 months active duty and was discharged as an Electronics Technician. He served on the USS Trenton LPD-14, the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 and the USS Ticonderoga CG-47. Jeremy also served stateside as a Navy Recruiter. He was awarded the following Decorations, Medals, Badges, Citations and Campaign Ribbons: Navy "E" Ribbon, Second Good Conduct Award, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy Sharpshooter Rifle Ribbon, Navy Sharpshooter Pistol Ribbon, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist. Most recently, Jeremy worked at the VA Hospital in Coatesville, PA as an Electronic Engineer significantly contributing to the safety and welfare of veterans and his co-workers.
Jeremy is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca M. Graves (Heron); his parents, Lynn W. Graves of Sanderson, FL. and Catherine Graves of Glassboro, NJ; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Barbara Heron of Holland, PA; siblings, Arietta Emenecker and husband Mark of Mattoon, IL., Brian Graves and wife Christine of Glassboro, NJ., Micah Graves and wife Kim of Hagerstown, MD., Kristin DeNero of Cherry Hill, NJ.; Brother in-law Sam Heron and Hilary Weissman, Sister in-laws, Sarah Reed and husband Justin and Hannah Heron and Kiran Manne. Nieces and Nephews include Jessica Nelson, Mark Anthony Emenecker, Douglas Emenecker, Briana and Billy Davis, Kaitlyn Graves, Nicolas Graves, Justin Graves, Pheona and Eric Graves, Maria Graves, Micah Edward Graves, David DeNero, Christopher DeNero and Nathan DeNero, Emma Reed, Jacob Heron and Josh Heron.
His entire extended family and countless friends, colleagues and acquaintances as well as others who loved him deeply in his wide network of community are full of sorrow at this time of bereavement.
Family and friends are invited to visit on February 7, 2025 from 11am-1pm at the Joseph a Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road,
Richboro, PA. A memorial service will follow. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery with military honors, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 14:30 hours.
