In Loving Memory of Jeremy Davis Hammond
September 25, 1979 – May 29, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeremy Davis Hammond, age 45, of Temple, Texas, who departed this life on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Born on September 25, 1979, in Norwich, New York, Jeremy lived a life defined by strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family. Jeremy was a caring, funny, courageous, adventurous, loving, and deeply thoughtful man. He was the backbone and sole provider of his family—always steady, always present. To know him was to be seen, supported, and loved in the quiet, constant way only Jeremy could give. A proud member of the Local 669 Sprinkler Fitters Union and a dedicated employee of Western States Fire Protection, Jeremy took tremendous pride in his work. His work ethic was unmatched, and his commitment to excellence was a hallmark of both his career and his life. Jeremy’s happiest moments were found at home—spending precious time with his wife and children, and especially playing with his only granddaughter, Alaia Rena Hammond, who brought him immeasurable joy. His family was his world, and every day, he made sure they felt protected and loved. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Hammond, and their children: Autumn, Jessalyn, Morgan, and Treylyn. His light will live on through his treasured granddaughter, Alaia Rena Hammond, of Temple, TX. Jeremy is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth Snyder of Wills Point, TX; his brothers Justin Hammond (wife Jennifer) of Orting, WA; Jared Hammond (wife Jessica) of Wills Point, TX; Jordan Hammond (wife Melinda) of New York; and his sister, Chelsea Hammond, also of New York. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who looked up to him as a role model and protector. Jeremy’s faith was an anchor in his life, and he often found comfort and strength in Scripture. Two verses especially close to his heart were:
Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who
love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
Isaiah 40:31 – “But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall
mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not
faint.”
In honor of Jeremy’s life and legacy, donations may be made directly to his family, who will carry forward his spirit with grace and love. Jeremy’s absence leaves a deep silence, but his love, laughter, and steadfast presence will echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him—always.
