It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jeremy Raymond Jones, who left us far too soon on June 2, 2025, at the age of 34.
Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, Jeremy was a humble young man who touched the lives of many with his generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty. He was God fearing, loved the Lord, and had unwavering deep faith. He was an electrician by trade, known not only for his skill and dedication but also for his willingness to help anyone in need. Whether it was lending a hand, cracking a well-timed joke, or pulling one of his signature pranks, Jeremy had a special way of making people feel seen, supported, and loved.
Jeremy was passionate about sports-especially football, where he proudly wore #80 as a wide receiver throughout his youth and high school years. He was a devoted fan of the Raiders, Dodgers, and Lakers, and he loved cheering them on with all his heart and energy. Beyond sports, Jeremy found joy in the simple things-watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with those he loved most.
Above all, Jeremy had a tender heart and a fierce sense of loyalty and protectiveness of those he loved. He believed in protecting and caring for his family, and in living by the simple but powerful values of kindness, humility, and respect-always treating others the way he hoped to be treated.
Jeremy is survived by his loving mother, Maria Elena Jones; his sister, Amanda Jones; his grandparents, Francisco and Teresa Manzo; his aunt, Veronica Gonzales; and his uncle, Uncle Frank Manzo. He is preceded in death by his uncles, Oscar Manzo and Jesse Gonzales; his great-grandmother, Esperanza Nelson; and his grandparents, Archie and Donna Jones.
A viewing and Rosary will be held on Monday June 16th from 5:00pm to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn. Tuesday June 17th a Rosary will be held at St. Phillip's at 9:00am and Celebration of Life Mass following will take place at St. Philip the Apostle Church at 9:30 a.m., followed by burial.
Jeremy's light, laughter, and love will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
