Jeremy Joseph Maynard, 49, of Medusa, NY departed this world on May 30th 2024 following a tragic accident.

Jeremy will be remembered for so many things.

For being a loving husband, and dedicated father.  His kids were his greatest joy, and his reason to keep fighting during struggles.

For being a brother and a son who loved his family (and was loved) even when life's challenges got in the way.

For being a protector and willing to stand up when it mattered.

For being able to make connections with people no matter their backgrounds. Jeremy collected an amazing community of friends throughout his life. His gift of befriending people so easily is unmatched.

Jeremy enjoyed so much that life had to offer. When he was younger this meant cars and motorcycles, video gaming, road trips and camping, and activities that should not be mentioned like bridge jumping. More recently his joys were silliness with his kids, singing and playing guitar like no one was watching, long calls with friends, quad rides with the kids to the creek, or by himself under the moonlight, plinking, trying new recipes, beer, saving turtles, and of course there has always been jovial ribbing and laughs with friends and family.

Jeremy was a marksman and protector of our 2nd Amendment rights.

Jeremy dealt with physical pain and challenges that most of us cannot even imagine.  He had an amazing commitment to walking despite his pain, and living and enjoying life while he was physically able.  He literally walked through fire these past years, and he did it for his family and his children.

He balanced his stubbornness of never backing down in an argument with random acts of kindness, including to strangers, and was the man you wanted in a pinch, as he would drop everything to be there for you.

Jeremy will be missed by many, in particular his wife of 16 years, Kristina ("Tina") Maynard, and children Samantha and Eli Maynard.  He is also survived by his mother, Sallie Moore-Rafferty, and brothers William Maynard II (Katherine), Michael Maynard (Lisa), and Adam Maynard (Shauna). He will be remembered by many extended family including nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, William Maynard.

There will be a service of memories held at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave. Delmar.  The family will receive visitors at the funeral home 2:00pm  to 4:00pm Saturday before the service.

The family would like to decline flowers and instead we ask loved ones to consider a donation that honor's Jeremy's life and passions.
