Jeremy Calvin Reading, loving father, son, and brother, passed peacefully on January 20. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic school with his siblings and cousins. Jeremy looked forward to his Friday's in elementary, going out to eat with his aunt, siblings, and cousins. He always had everyone laughing by either talking funny from helium balloons or sticking gummy bears up his nose.
Jeremy went on to attend Judge Memorial Catholic High School. He spent most of his high school years creating and playing music with his cousins and friends. Jeremy was a member of the band "The Homebodies" where he got to play a show at Kilby Court in Salt Lake City. His passion for music was contagious with his favorite musicians being The Beatles. He could pick up and play any instrument and even dabbled at being a rapper, "J-Perm".
You could never get Jeremy to take a serious picture. He loved getting reactions out of people, whether he was crossed eyed or borrowing someone's glasses. He always had to be the goof ball in the room, always trying to make everyone laugh. He never liked to be serious. Jeremy always talked about being a stand up comedian, little did he know, most people already considered him one.
Jeremy was good at anything he put his mind to. He always excelled at work and was always loved by his team of coworkers. Jeremy was so loved by everyone he came in to contact with.
Jeremy's greatest joy was becoming a father to his sons, Lincoln and Alexander. He loved introducing them to "Rock and Roll" and playing music for them. He loved teaching them about his favorite musical instruments and musicians. Some of his favorite times were spent helping them with their homework. He loved finding fun ways to teach them math and science. Jeremy sons were his world. His sense of humor and kindness do and will continue to live through them.
Jeremy was survived by his twin sons, Lincoln and Alexander, his mother Janice Reading, his father Jeff Reading, his siblings Jacob Reading, Jasmine Millard, and Jennifer Reading, and his grandparents Dottie and Calvin Reading. And many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Leilani and William Sadler, his Aunt Mary Margret, his Uncles Paul, Jim, and Benny and cousin Skyler.
"When you are upset, take a breath, say a prayer, and listen to Bob Marley." -Jeremy Reading

I am so very sad and sorry to hear about the loss of Jeremy. Growing up and spending my childhood with him at St Francis, I have so many memories of us all that I cherish- memories of a youth that I still look back on with such fondness.
Jeremy was definitely the class clown, always making everyone around him laugh. He also had a big heart and gentleness about him, that shown through in the way he cared for his loved ones. Although we didn“t have much contact throughout the years, my heart is broken at the loss of his life on this earth. May God give you eternal rest, my friend. Love you forever!!
