Billy Ray Reading, 67, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Billy was born on August 26, 1958, to Opal Smith and Billy Joe Reading. He earned his GED and worked many jobs throughout his life, with his most recent employment being with ProLock. Billy also proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS New Orleans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Opal Smith and Billy Joe Reading; his wife, Joan Reading; and his brother, Clyde Reading.
Billy is survived by his son, William Reading; daughter, Ana “Katy” Reading; half-sister, Debbie Conaway; and his mother-in-law, Loretta Siemeck.
Private services to honor Billy’s life will be held at a later date.
