Linda Hasley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Southern Mississippi Funeral Services on Sep. 17, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

It is with great sadness that on September 10, 2025, our beloved mother LINDA KING HASLEY, age 82, grew her wings, departed our earth, and made her entrance into Heaven with grace, dignity, and peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren with all our love and respect.

LINDA KING HASLEY was born on March 30, 1943, to Eula Krohn King and George Henry King. She was preceded in death by both her parents, son David Ethan Hasley, sister Twylia King Hilton, brother Byron Ray King, nephew David Taylor and Granddaughter Jamie Steinborn.
Linda is survived by her daughter Laura Hasley Litton, sons Paul Hasley and Samuel (Chastity) Hasley. She was grandmother to Stephanie Hasley Wein-Wahl, Kenneth McCain, Virgil (Marissa) Steinborn, John (Analissa) Conti, Shane Hasley, Dallas Hasley, Shaina Hasley, and Alexandria Hasley as well as step-grandchildren Aubrey Walker and Bentley Daffin. She is also survived by her sister Donna King and brother Kevin King; nieces Mary King, Natalie King, Candice Taylor, Lorie Taylor, Angela (Johnny) Wescovich, and nephew Gary (Laurie) Hilton, Jr.
She had 20 great-grandchildren and another great-granddaughter coming in October 2025 as well as her 1st great-great grandson coming January 1, 2026.
Linda also had some very special family and friends that were dear to her heart: Kathryn & Bob Lutz, Wanda & Tom Freeland, Charlena Hetrick, Naomi & Patrick Landry, Mary Romero, Cheryl Barrett, Shanna Booth, Malcolm Rouse, and Don & Jill Styes.
Linda attended D'Iberville High School and played clarinet in the band. She graduated with the Class of 1961. She then attended MGCCC Perk and later in life she attended USM Hattiesburg where she received her Bachelor Degree in Business Management.
Linda spent most of her career working in TMO/Personnel Management at Keesler Air Force Base, where she retired in 2001.
She also spent many years working in office personnel at NASA and was in the Accounts Department for Holloway Moving and Storage.
Linda lived her life loving, caring, and full of grace. She was a bright light to anyone that crossed her path. She took great joy in the simple acts of kindness. Always finding ways to brighten someone's day with her thoughtful gestures and warm smile. She was solid in her faith, always attending Mass and Bible Study. After Sunday Mass, she would join family and friends for afternoon game time, playing Bunko, Dominos, Chinese Checkers, and more.
Her passion for gardening which she shared with her brother Byron for many years before his passing, brought her peace and happiness.
She was very talented and loved hand-stitching Christmas stockings for those she held dear, making sure each one was hand selected for her recipients.
Linda enjoyed eating out with her family and friends as well as her visits to the casinos. She loved the holidays and all our family gatherings.
She loved her family and friends with all her heart but most importantly she loved her church where she found strength, community, and a deep sense of purpose that continued to guide her through her journey on earth.
She always said, "This is my temporary home!"
She now rests peacefully.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Sanders, the Oncology Department at Memorial Hospital Gulfport, Dr. Wall, Dr. Pavlov, Dr. McNair, and all the staff that helped care for her.
A memorial service honoring Linda Hasley will be held on September 23, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church starting at 10 a.m., Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs at noon. A reception will be held at Aquinas Hall at Sacred Heart Catholic Church following the graveside services.
