Jerod Lynn Bramble, of Blackhawk, Indiana passed away peacefully on August 27th, 2025, in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born in Sullivan, Indiana to the late Dallas and Norma (Heck) Hall. He was adopted by Jack R. Bramble as an infant and was immediately accepted into the Bramble family as one of their own. Jerry grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana and was a 1964 graduate of Gerstmeyer Tech High School. He served our country as a Staff Seargent in the U.S. Air Force where he was an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist in North Africa during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he returned to Terre Haute and began working for his father, Jack, at the Bramble Bush Restaurant on Locust Street in Terre Haute. Later he would become the manager and owner of that location throughout the 1970's. In the early 80's he decided to sell the restaurant and began a career with the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carier until his retirement. He enjoyed playing tennis with his family in the summer at Prairie Creek Park and horseshoes. He loved golf and took many golf trips with his friends when he was able. He appreciated music, mostly classic rock, outlaw country and old twang country. He was an excellent singer and had some recordings that were on various jukeboxes around town. His garage in Blackhawk was his sanctuary where many friends and family would hang out, drink a few beers and watch cowboy movies, sports or spend time talking to each other. Jerry will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and quick-witted, sometimes sarcastic, sense of humor. He truly enjoyed people, he was the kind of guy who could walk into a place knowing no one and walk out knowing everyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years Sondra Jo Bramble; son Erin Lee Bramble; daughter, Jerri Lynn LaMay; stepson Terry Wayne Smith; stepdaughter Cara Jean Nasser; grandchildren, Preston Bramble, Kyle Bramble, Christian Nasser, Hannah Nasser and Wyatt Lamay and numerous cousins, in laws and friends.

Respecting Jerry's wishes, we will not have a formal funeral service. There will be a gathering of his family and friends on Wednesday, October 8th from 4-6 PM at the Sycamore Country Club (200 Heritage Drive. Terre Haute, IN).

Please feel free to come by and share a story and have a drink in his memory. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be preferred.
