Jerold (Jerry) Ramos Sr., a resident of Glenaire, MO, entered his heavenly home on January 23rd, 2026. He passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Glenaire, MO. His body can now rest, and his soul has found peace.
Jerry was born on June 29th, 1956, in Cicero, IL, the fourth of six children to Evelyn (Mortier) Ramos. He grew up in Cicero attending private Lutheran schools until joining the Navy as a young man. He served with distinction in the Vietnam conflict, earning many service awards including a Purple Heart. Jerry was always very proud of his service to his country and dedicated much of his private career to advocating for and supporting service veterans.
Jerry was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dorothy Jean (Berning) Ramos, on January 16, 1978, who preceded him in death. They were blessed with three children: Frances, Donald, and Jerold Jr. Jerry was a devoted husband and father, taking great pride in his family and their accomplishments.
His survivors include his children: Frances Moody, Don Ramos (Sarah), and Jerry Ramos (Brandi); his grandchildren: Zoe Lewis (Garrett), Evan Moody, Sean Ramos, Bryn Ramos, Cole Ramos, Owen Ramos, Jerry Ramos III, Chris Ramos, Laura Ramos, Khloe Ramos, and Roddy Hamilton; his great-grandchildren: Amalia Lewis, Emmanuel Lewis; his siblings: John Ramos, Julia Avila, Lynette De Loera; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
We invite all who knew and cared for Jerry to join his family in celebrating a life well lived at Shoal Creek Community Church (6816 South Church Road, Pleasant Valley, MO) on . Visitation will begin at 5pm, February 6th and the Celebration of Life will commence at 6pm .
