Jerome "Jerry" Andelman

Jerome "Jerry" Stuart Andelman, age 86, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024.
Jerry was born in Chicago, IL on January 26, 1937, the son of Morris and Antoinette (Kubies) Andelman. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School, Stevens Point, WI, Class of 1955. Jerry worked for Camcar in Rockford for 39 years before his retirement. He married Bernita "Bonnie" Moscinski on June 2, 1962, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Jerry and his family attended St. Rita Catholic Church for many years. He enjoyed spending his time gardening, working in the yard, mowing the lawn and just being outdoors. Jerry loved to share fresh vegetables from his garden with the neighbors. He had a great passion for cheering on the University of Illinois basketball team, attending games in person once a year. Jerry enjoyed tinkering and working on things any chance he had. A true handy man who could fix anything. He will be dearly missed.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Bonnie Andelman; children, Laura (Jon) Allen, Marc Andelman (Susan Hildebrandt) and Lisa (David) Nahabedian; grandchildren, Mitchell, Bradley and Maggie Allen, Alair Nahabedian, Evan (Winki Chan) Nahabedian and Adam Nahabedian; brother, Joel (Marilyn) Andelman and sister, Jackie Klein; sister-in-law, Amy Russell and brothers-in-law, Gordon and Dennis Moscinski; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers-in-law, Bob and Ken Moscinski.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until time of a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, IL 61109.
