We gather to celebrate and remember Jerome Keith Goodwin who peacefully transitioned from this life on August 5, 2024. Jerome was the last sibling born to his late parents, George Edward Goodwin and Doris Jean Goodwin (Hickman) on October 23, 1964, in Marion, Ohio.
In his earlier years he attended and graduated from River Valley High School and Tri-Rivers Vocational in Marion, Ohio with a special interest in electrical communications.
Later he moved to Columbus, Ohio and worked at Buckeye Steel Castings and retired in 2019 from Pickaway Correctional Institute as a Correctional Officer.
Jerome’s life was so fulfilling in which he shared with his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and friends.
He loved to travel and never passed up an opportunity to vacation often. He had a special love for the tropics and frequently visited Jamaica the place he called “Home”. When he was not traveling, he had a special interest in riding his motorcycle, fishing with his brother, woodworking, making homemade biscuits and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.
He leaves to cherish in memory: his lovely wife of 30 years, Belinda Goodwin sons, Ayren Griffea, Brenden Boswell; grandchildren, Luis and Brelin; siblings, and spouses; sisters, Sandra (Gregory) Ward, Frann (Micheal) Lowery; brother, Edward (Jennifer) Goodwin, and a host of nieces and nephews. He had a special place in his heart and for his extended family of sons, daughters and grandchildren.
Today we cherish the beloved memory of Jerome’s late niece, Alexandria L. Goodwin.
