Jerome Frank McCloud, 79 years old, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio after an extended illness. He was born June 29, 1945 at Timken Mercy hospital in Canton, Ohio. Jerome was a graduate of McKinley Senior High School. He retired from the Timken Company after forty years. After retiring he joined St. Paul AME church, joined the usher board and the Gentleman Club, the supporting community and the church.
Jerome was the first born child to Frank Taylor and Ovila Lorene McCloud. Jerome leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Maxine (May) Anthony McCloud. He left behind his favorite aunt Angeline Hatchet (deceased). his daughter Tracy (McCloud) Smith, her two sons Darius R. Smith and Tre N. Glasow, two great grandchildren, Giovanni Smith, and Mariah Smith. Brandy Brown, two daughters Kashari Dove, Naquai Davidson, one great granddaughter Jerzee Dove. One son Matthew Curry, two grand daughters Violet Curry and Ruby Curry. One stepdaughter Tracy L (Anthony) Mccockran, two grandchildren, Rudy L. Mccockran Jr. and Skye L. Mccockran and one great grandson Keegan Mccockran. One sister Jackie Smith (deceased) and two brothers Keith Speers (deceased) and Stanley Dawkins, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral service Thursday May 22, 2025 12:00 PM at Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel 705 Raff Road SW Canton, OH 44710 with Rev. Dr. John H. McCants, Jr. officiating. Visitation 11:00 AM until service time at the same location.
