Jerome Pocius Obituary
Born in Lackawanna, PA on November 5, 1951, he was a son of the late
Anthony Pocius and Mary Bunevitch Pocius. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Pocius and a sister, Cynthia Tarney.
He was a retired educator and a Learned Fellow of the Jewish Foundation of the Righteous, and a member of the Hickory Stick Group at the Thistle Golf Course.
Surviving are is wife Denise Santos Pocius, son Matthew Pocius; daughter Dr. Katherine Pocius (Josh Stein); sister Lisa Msarasa; grandchildren Jack Stein and Sadie Stein.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm, Saturday, July 12, 2025 in the Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte Chapel.
There will be a prayer service at 3:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 or to a charity of your choice.
