Jerome Siedschlag, age 83, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025.
Jerome was born November 8, 1941 in Brandon, the son of Bernard and Wilma Schouten Siedschlag. Jerome attended Waupun High School and served his country honorably in the Air Force, stationed in Delaware and Canada. After his service, he pursued higher education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where he graduated before embarking on a fulfilling career in Alaska where he lovingly adopted his two children, further enriching his life as a father, and then continued his career up and down the east coast. Eventually, he resided in Boston and then moved back to Waupun where he worked from home and retired, enjoying life to the fullest. Following retirement he enjoyed traveling extensively between the USA and the Philippines, embracing new experiences and adventures with an open heart. Jerome was a man of many interests and talents, known particularly for his love of the natural world. Jerome had a deep appreciation for gardening and had a remarkable green thumb. He took joy in raising fish and caring for birds.
Jerome is survived by his two beloved sons, Joshua Siedschlag and Matthew Siedschlag; his four brothers: William (Donna) Siedschlag, Kenneth Siedschlag, Lynn (Kathy) Siedschlag, and Mark (Monique) Siedschlag; two cherished sisters: Shirley (Terry) Canniff and Carol (Dave) Cooper; and many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his dear niece, Johanna Schultz.
