Jerome Williams of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on January 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 67. He was born on September 12, 1958, in Panama City, Florida.
Jerome was a graduate of Port St. Joe High School and proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to his passing, he was employed for 16 years with Custom Furniture Installations, where he was known as a dedicated and hardworking employee.
Jerome will be fondly remembered for his infectious laughter, quick wit, and upbeat personality. He brought joy to those around him and made a lasting impression through his warmth and humor.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Schroeder of Germany; his son, Jerome Williams (Kari) of Port St. Joe; and his cherished grandchildren, Justin, Noah, Aaron, Kalea, Carson, and Adilyn. He is also survived by his brothers, Jerry Williams (Nona) and Alphonso Williams; nephews Terrance “Tan,” Robert “Mutt,” Mark “Shanky,” Ken (Keke), and Chandler “CC” (Katie); nieces Farrah (Fritz), Sabina “Beanny,” Kandra, Sunday, and Sheka; as well as many cousins and extended family members. He also leaves behind special friends Vanessa Fennell, Mike Sims, Carole and Larry Simmons, and Mike Daniels.
Jerome also leaves behind Freda Williams, whom he affectionately described as his ex-wife, soon-to-be wife, and his childs mother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.L. and Ossie Williams, and his sisters, Pamela, Dorothy, and Mary.
A private ceremony will be held later in the year, at which time his remains will be laid to rest at sea.
Jerome’s love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
