Jerrelyn Annette Martin entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the age of 63. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Jerrelyn was a graduate of John Ehret High School Class of 1979 and Delgado Community College. She was employed as a head start teacher with Jeff Cap. Devoted mother of Roushan Howard and Racquel Howard. Loving grandmother of Terrishan Howard and Raediance Howard. Daughter of the late Haille S. Martin, Sr. and Audrey Benjamin Martin. Stepdaughter of Ruth Martin. Granddaughter of the late Clarence Martin, Sr. and Elnora Hadley. Sister of Haille S. (Christine) Martin, Jr., Herbert (Kendra) Martin, David (Andrea) Martin, Sr., Shirley Hayes, Yvonne Gardet, Patrice Hatten, and the late Geraldine Broome, Willie Cotton, Clarence Cotton, and Martin Hatten, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers, and members of Progressive Ministries, Rock of Ages Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Rock of Ages Baptist Church 6533 Acre Rd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Terrence A. Ranson, Sr. Host Pastor - Pastor Sterling Mealancon officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the above-named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery -Avondale, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
