Jerrie Schakel Obituary
Jerrie loved playing dominoes with her friends and dedicated her life to her family, spending her years as a homemaker, providing a safe and loving environment for her loved ones and anyone who needed a helping hand. She was a beloved member of Caddo Mills Methodist Church and her faith shown through in every aspect of her life.
She is survived by her dear husband: Leo Schakel; sons and daughters-in-law: Curtis and Martha Newman, as well as Chris and Ruthann Newman; sister: Barbara Richmond; her thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of loving friends.
Jerrie is preceded in death by her biological parents: Jessie and Curtis Goodwin; her guardian parents: Beulah and Pink Goodwin; sisters: Dorothy Wilson, Christine Karnes, Claudine Smith; and her grandparents: Maude and Elijah Goodwin, and Melvin and Laura Lilly.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at 11am on Monday, October 14, 2024 at LYNCH Funeral Home chapel in Caddo Mills.
