Jerry Lee Bashor

Jerry Lee Bashor of Borger, Texas, formerly of Carrollton, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 28, 2024.
Jerry was born in Fort Collins, Colorado to Vernon and Bettye Bashor on August 24, 1948. He graduated from Borger High School in 1966. He attended Wayland Baptist University where he was a proud member of the Wayland International Choir. He graduated from Wayland in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in education and music.
Jerry had a great love for music and loved to sing with his beautiful bass voice. He loved life and was not afraid to voice his opinion and stand up for his faith. He had a love for the Lord and his favorite scripture was John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." He was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Tx.
He was a retired special education teacher and part time minister of music throughout the years for several churches.
He is preceded in death by his father Vernon Bashor (2002). He is survived by his mother Bettye Bashor of Houston. Son, Chad Bashor and wife Krista of Borger. Daughter Kim Hugg and husband Chris of Canyon. Brother Tim Bashor and wife Jodye of the Woodlands, and grandchildren; Bethany Bashor and daughter Brynnlee (great grandchild), AJ Wilson, Austin Bashor and son Gavin (great grandchild), Mckenzie Kemp and husband Nick, and Berkley Wilson, all of Borger Texas.
Services will be held on Thursday January 2, 2025 at 1 P.M. at Word of Life Church at 415 Gardner St. in Borger, Tx.
