Jerry Wayne Borders, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at his home in Bells, TN. All services are under the direction of the Bells Funeral Home.
Mr. Jerry was born in Alamo, TN on November 2, 1946, to the late Willie Joseph Borders and Bertha Gertrude Emison Borders. He was a member of the Liberty Hall Church of Gadsden. Mr. Jerry loved the outdoors, working on the land and raising animals. He enjoyed riding horses, raising chickens, rabbits, and spending time with his family. He worked in maintenance his whole life, working mainly for Haywood Element.
He is survived by one son: Michael Shane Borders (Denise) of Swannanoa, NC; one brother: Larry Borders of Humboldt, TN; one sister: Carolyn Borders Hutcherson (Darrell) of Huntington, TN; He leaves the legacy of three grandchildren: Daniel Scott, Ryan Vaughn, Kaleb Jeramiah; and three great-grandchildren: Ava Grace, Noah Bryant and Izzabella Oletta.
The Borders family are honoring his wishes for cremation and further information will be announced as it becomes available by the Bells Funeral Home.
