Jerry Edward Brede, age 69, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 8, 2025. He was born on January 17, 1956 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to James and Joan Brede.
Jerry's passions were as vibrant as his spirit. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Jerry embraced the freedom of the open road, often taking long, adventurous trips on his beloved bike. A passionate fisherman, he treasured the moments spent by the water, where he could unwind and connect with nature.
He cherished his family above all else, and throughout his life, he demonstrated his love and support for them in countless ways. Jerry is survived by his wife, Petra (nee Martin); children Heather Ann Laplander (Eric), Jason James Brede (Andi Ground); grandchildren Kayla Gettelman, Trevor Ramos, Destiny Laplander, Jacob and Jayden Brede; great-grandchildren Rylee, Brantley and Wesley Gettelman and Carter James Ramos. Also survived by Beau Brede, Britney Torres (Francisco); niece Bella Torres; along with other family and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; brother Daniel Brede; sister-in-law Linda Brede; and sister Kathryn A. Moat.The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Aurora at Home Hospice for the compassionate care and support provided during Jerry's final days. Your kindness has meant the world to us.
A visitation in honor of Jerry will take place at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION: 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) on Monday, February 24, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a service to celebrate his life.
