Jerry Melvin Britton, Sr. (78) of Judsonia, Arkansas departed this life on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at his home.
He was born February 6, 1946, in Brandon, MS to the late Johnnie Britton and Kattie Christine Reed Britton.
Jerry was loved deeply by his family and friends. He had a kind heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a career truck driver and truly enjoyed the work he done. He had a love for watches, pocket watches particularly. How they worked mechanically intrigued him, but he wasn't the best at putting them back together. He could fix just about anything else. He loved to work on motors and motorcycles. At once it was a thing, but he had to have his Harley inside because it was cold. Jerry will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Mary Anna Britton, his four children, Kim Britton Guerrero (David), Jerry Melvin Britton, Jr, Leah Watson (Wayne), and Kara Britton, his grandchildren, Heather Britton, Anna Strickland, John Tyler Britton, Jared Britton, and Dylan Manuel, his great grandchildren, Natailia, Arianna, Kinlyn, Justice, Lani, Archer, Lily, and one great grandchild on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Caples, his grandson, Nicholas Sumpter, two brothers, Billy Joe Britton and Donald Gene Britton, his sister, Betty Ann Putman, and his best friend and companion, Bubba Dog.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob, Arkansas. Visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob- Judsonia.
