Jerry Carter

Jerry Carter, beloved husband, brother, and friend, transitioned to his eternal home with Jesus on January 14, 2026, at the age of 61. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Robert and Carol (Spohn) Carter.

Jerry was a proud veteran of the United States Army, embodying the values of service and commitment that defined his life. His love for the great outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting. He cherished every moment spent in nature and shared this love with many, including fellow members of the Elstonville Sportsman's Association. A skilled mechanic and owner of JC's Auto in Lititz, Jerry was known for love of classic cars and motorcycles.

An avid lover of all things chocolate peanut butter, Jerry found joy in life's simple pleasures and was a beloved member of The Lord's House of Prayer in Lancaster.

Jerry leaves behind his cherished wife, Kristen Carter of East Petersburg; three daughters, numerous grandchildren; his sister, Barb Carter of Lancaster; his brother, Rick Carter (husband of Tina) of Lancaster; four nieces: Alyssa Carter, Amberly Carter, Briana Beyers and Claire Williams; his father and mother in-law, Don and Mary Walters of Bernville; and his sister in-law Sue Rhoads (wife of Ray) of Wernersville.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his aunt, Marsha Killian.

Family will receive friends on Thursday January 22, 2026 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. 17543 from 6pm to 7pm with a celebration of Jerry's life to begin at 7pm.
