Jerry Cluxton born January 18,1958 passed away Thursday April 3, 2025 at the age of 67. He is survived by his sons Brandon Cluxton and Mitchell Cluxton his daughter-in-law Jessica Cluxton, 5 Grand children Terence Burks, Deanna Cluxton, Nico Cluxton, Kylee Cluxton and Carson Cluxton. Brothers and Sisters, Robert Cluxton (Janice) Judy Terry (Anthony) Tommy Cluxton, Freddie Cluxton (Darlene) Kevin Pitts (Shonda) Debbie Ortiz, Karen Rutherford, and Chris Pitts and a whole slew of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his friend of many years, that became more family than friend, David Harvey.
He was preceeded in death by his loving wife of 47 years Cynthia Cluxton, parents Fred Cluxton and Minnie (Sis) Pitts, sister Theresa Newman and brother Ronald Cluxton.
Family was at the center of Jerry's world. He cherished every moment spent with loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be held dear in their hearts. Born with a talent for entertaining, he was always quick with a joke or story. Skilled in many trades, he had a gift for teaching, sharing his knowledge and passion with others, and inspiring those around him to embrace their own creativity and talents. His warmth and wisdom made him a mentor to many, and his impact will be felt for generations to come. His legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and a deep-seated belief in the importance of family and faith.
Eastside Baptist Church in Arab Alabama will receive family and friends at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, for a celebration of life, with services to follow. Pastor Kenny Mullins and Brother Bobby Newby will officiate.
