Obituary published on Legacy.com by Martin & Hightower Funeral Home - Carrollton on Dec. 26, 2025.
Jerry Conner passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 59. He was born on November 14, 1966, in
Atlanta, Georgia, to Essie Mae Finley Conner and the late Alvin Grover Conner. Jerry lived a life marked by hard work, loyalty to his family, and a deep connection to his community.
From a young age, Jerry understood the value of honest work. In 1985, he founded C & C Plumbing & Electrical, building the business from the ground up. As a plumber and electrician, he earned a reputation for skill, dependability, and fairness. He served families and businesses throughout Villa Rica and the West Georgia area, often helping others without hesitation and taking pride in doing the job right. His work was more than a career; it was a reflection of his character and his commitment to providing for those he loved.
Outside of work, Jerry found joy at the drag strip. Drag racing was a passion that gave him excitement, purpose, and lasting friendships. The racing community became an extension of his family, and the time spent there created memories he treasured.
Family was at the center of Jerry's life. He was a devoted husband, a steady and loving father, and a proud grandfather. His ten grandchildren were his greatest joy, and he poured his time and heart into being present for them, sharing laughter, adventures, and everyday moments that will long be remembered.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Essie Mae Finley Conner; his beloved wife, Laurie Sanders; his children, Justin Conner (Lisa), Brittney Conner, Amber Hill (Justin), and Jessica Courtney; his brother, Brandon Conner; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn Conner, Lexie McGaha, Braxton Webb, Addyson Webb, Waylon Conner, Easton Hill, Weston Hill, Southern-Grace Hill, Layne Dunkin, and Demi Hall. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Conner.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Pastor Adam Grant and Pastor Doug Porter officiating. Eulogies will be given by Justin Conner and Dale "Chico" Ritchie. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Ritchie, Warren Parrish, John Sanders, Johnny Sanders, Justin Conner, Jeremy Morgan, Andrew Stroud, and Justin Hill.
