Jerry L. Cranmer, a pillar of faith and family, was called home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2025, at the age of 90. Born in Chillicothe, Missouri, on February 21, 1935, to Clyde and Pauline (Gash) Cranmer. Jerry's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and the strength of the human spirit.

Jerry's race began in the heart of Missouri, where he was raised in the warmth of a loving family. His younger years were spent in Chillicothe, where he completed his education before answering the call of service to his country in the Army. Upon his return, Jerry began a successful career in the automotive service industry. His own auto-electric business bloomed under his care, becoming a beacon of excellence and generosity in the community. Jerry's kindness extended beyond business, as he often lent a helping hand to those in need, sharing his faith and the grace that guided him through life.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Ruby, with whom he shared seventy-four years of marriage-a remarkable journey of love and devotion. Together, they raised a family that included two sons, Timothy Cranmer of Chillicothe, Missouri, and John Cranmer of Branson, Missouri, as well as a loving daughter, Virginia "Ginger" Fox of Walnut Shade, Missouri. Jerry's legacy continued to blossom with eight grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immeasurable joy. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Baker.

Jerry was a man of deep Christian faith, which was the cornerstone of his Christian Walk. His love for music, particularly singing hymns alongside his wife Ruby at neighboring churches, was a source of encouragement and joy. His voice, a vessel of praise, will be remembered by all who had the privilege to hear it. Jerry's passion for the Bible was not just a personal study but also a tool for teaching and preaching, through which he shared the wisdom of the scriptures with others. Jerry's talents went beyond singing to his gift of playing the guitar and if he wasn't playing the guitar he was collecting them along with other stringed instruments.

Family was the heart of Jerry's world. He cherished every moment spent watching his grandchildren play at special family events. His love for people was boundless, and he sought to embody the Lord's love in every interaction, touching countless lives with his kindness.

Jerry is preceded in his passing by his parents, Clyde and Pauline, his brother Thomas Cranmer, his sisters Shirley Ashlock and Janis Dye, son Tim Cranmer, and a precious granddaughter, Lindsay Cranmer. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit of God's never- ending love lives on in the memories and the warmth he shared.

Jerry's kind soul and generous heart have left a beautiful reflection of the Christian values he held dear, and he now rests in eternal peace with our Heavenly Father. We will honor Jerry on September 4, 2025 with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. till service time at 1:00 p.m. at the New Life Temple Church in Hollister, Missouri, with Pastor Bruce Haynes officiating. Burial will take place in Chillicothe, Missouri on September 5, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Great memories of a wonderful christian man. Remember all those songs at the Methodist Church in Chillicothe he sang with Ruby and others. I'm certain he was met at the gates of heaven and heard the Lord say Job Well Done. Faithful servant and teacher of the Gospel. I was blessed to have known him.
