Jerry gave his 10.5 extra wide shoes with the orthopedic added to my son that fit perfectly and met my son´s need. So generous and kind. Such a provision from the Lird and he used Jerry´s hands ... or feet...to fulfill the need. I am such he will be missed by his family and friends.

Jerry was one of the most appreciative people I've ever met. We started communicating on FB years ago shortly after his wife died, and our last "chat" was about 2 weeks ago. Yes, Jerry and I graduated the same year, but we ran with different crowds. Our longest face-to-face conversation was at our 50th reunion in 2019. At that time he presented my wife a small gift and he treated her like royalty. We had many a chat on FB over the years about our precious savior, the Lord Jesus Christ who gave his life for sinners, and Jerry and I were recipients of that grace. He was so gracious even though all I ever did for him was engage in conversation and pray for him. Below is an example of one of his messages to me four years ago:
"Thank you Don, I hope that God will give me strength and courage to do good things for him. I truly thank you so much for your prayers for me. It seems like your messages come at the right time when I truly need them. I hope you and your family have a wonderful New Year and that it is filled with happiness and joy.
"Thanks for being there for me."
