Jerry Dalman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes - Delta Chapel on Jan. 11, 2026.
Jerry Lou Dalman (Sisco), age 90, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, just days shy of her 91st birthday. She was born on January 16, 1935, and lived a life defined by deep love, strength, adventure, and unwavering devotion to family and community.
Jerry is survived by her children, Elaine (John) Sharrock, Larry (Sue) Dalman, and Dianne (Louis) Ferrans.
Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jenny Sisco; her former husband, Robert Dalman; her beloved daughter, Carole Dalman.
A true matriarch in every sense of the word, Jerry was the heart and protector of her family. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her four children to embrace her eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom knew her as a steady source of comfort, guidance, and unconditional love. Family was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.
Jerry loved life and lived it to the fullest. Well into her 80s, she could be found hopping in her car and heading off on cross-country road trips to spend time with family, always ready for the next adventure and the next story. After bravely beating cancer, she adopted her personal motto of "eating dessert first," believing you should always make room for the good stuff-a philosophy she carried with joy, humor, and a full heart.
Her love of quilting reflected her patience, creativity, and care for others, while her passions for good food and fishing brought people together in laughter and connection. These simple pleasures were often shared and always cherished.
A respected broker and owner of Jerry Dalman Real Estate, Jerry devoted her professional life to helping others find what truly felt like home. She lived for being part of people's lives and stories, walking alongside them during meaningful milestones. Even later in life, she never lost her love for touring open houses, remaining curious, engaged, and connected to the work she loved.
Jerry Lou Dalman leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, generosity, and connection. Her presence shaped generations, and her influence will be felt for years to come. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Palmer, Bush & Jensen Delta Chapel located at 6301 W St Joseph Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The service will be followed by a luncheon held at the funeral home.

My deepest sympathy for a remarkable woman. Jerry lovingly guided me through the purchase of my first home in the early 1970's. Always treated my like a "daughter" and not a client.

Dear Elaine and Dalman family,
I knew Jerry for a very short time when we were both at Red Cedar Lodge. I enjoyed talking with you and your mom, and she seemed younger than she was. I know she was happy when she got to go home, even though she liked RCL. I'll be grateful for the time I knew her.
PS I so agree with her "eat dessert first." (especially if it's chocolate!)
