Jerry Lynn Davis, 75, lifetime resident of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah.
Mr. Davis was born November 4, 1949, in Tahlequah, to the late Leslie and Callie Elizabeth Monholland Davis. He graduated from Tahlequah High School then attended Northeastern University before being drafted into the United States Army and served his country during Vietnam.
Jerry was a hard worker all of his life. As a youngster, every summer you could find him hauling hay to help make ends meet for his family. Mr. Davis retired from Lake Region Electric Company after 37 years as a Forman Lineman. After retirement, he continued to work on the farm with his cattle and hay bailing.
Jerry was a family man who enjoyed spending time with all of his family and friends. He was a kind and loving person to all who knew him and the greatest Pa ever!
Mr. Davis is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Velma Davis, whom he married September 1, 1979, in Tahlequah; his children, Chad (Casey) Davis of Haskell, Oklahoma and Traci (Dan) Pablo of Tahlequah; step children, Randy (Michelle) Collins and Vonnie Taylor, both of Tahlequah; grand daughter, Neali Ferrell; step-grandchildren, Thomas Pablo, Brianna (Logan) Cook, Mariah Teague and her fiance Riley Roberts, Kendall (Daphne) Collins, Crystal Dodd, and Seth Taylor; 5 great grandchildren; one sister, Peggy (Joe) Phillips of Talihina, Oklahoma; and one brother, Gary (Renda) Davis of Keys, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter, Shelia Ann Davis.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, 2024, 4:00 - 6:00 PM, at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 2, 2024, 10:30 AM, in the Chapel of Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah. Burial will follow at Park Hill Cemetery.
