My son and I met Jerry at a hunter safety class in Nampa, Idaho. He invited my family to join him at his church in Caldwell, where he was pastoring. Jerry and I had several conversations about fishing, hunting and the church. I recall him asking the kids in the hunter safety class what a certain part was on his rifle. The kids were stumped and I answered, "It's the bolt, but it's on the wrong side of the rifle". He laughed and said he had no excuses for being left-handed. I am sad of his passing, but our paths will cross again, I'm sure of it!

My sweet sweet brother, I will miss you terribly but you will always live in my heart. I know Daddy, Mama, Roy, Barry, Cathy, and Chris are rejoicing having you with them. I'm not going to say goodbye but see you later until we are together with our Lord in Heaven. I love you, Jerry!
