Jerry "Dieky" Diekamp
Jerry Diekamp, nicknamed "Dieky" by his honorary grandkids, age 77, of St. Charles, MO passed away on November 29th, 2025. A proud U.S. Navy Veteran, Jerry served his country with honor and dedication, embodying the values of courage and resilience throughout his life.
After his service, Jerry had a successful career as a self-taught diesel mechanic. His work ethic, creativity and determination, earned him the respect of his colleagues, friends, and family. He was known not only for his skill but for his inventiveness, his integrity, and his willingness to help others.
Beyond his professional accomplishments Jerry's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Billie Jean and his 2 daughters, Autumn and Ashley, in which he encouraged the importance of strength, independence and self-confidence - lessons that will continue to guide them for a lifetime.
Jerry left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. His love and devotion to his great nieces and nephews, who were more like grandkids to him, was unlimited. He was able to provide them with his wisdom, laughter, and countless memories, while they provided him with years of joy.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 am at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles 63304.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
