Obituary for Jerry Glenn Dutton

Jerry Glenn Dutton, age 63, was born on November 20, 1962, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Jerry Duane Dutton and Effie Louise (Powers) Dutton. He passed from this life on December 8, 2025, in Elmore City, Oklahoma.

Jerry grew up in Elmore City and graduated from Elmore City High School with the Class of 1981. He devoted much of his life to service and hard work, spending 20 years employed at the Pauls Valley State School. He later continued his career at the Walmart Distribution Center, where he worked faithfully until August 2025, when he took a short leave of absence to care for his father.

A man of faith, Jerry was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Satterwhite. He lived his life with quiet kindness, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility to those he loved.

Jerry enjoyed many hobbies that reflected his curiosity and fun-loving spirit. He loved reading, gardening, and attending Comic-Cons, where he embraced his lifelong love of superheroes. After the passing of his mother, Jerry dedicated himself to caring for his father, even discovering a new talent in the kitchen-using his air fryer to cook meals his dad enjoyed.

Jerry will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to family, and the gentle, thoughtful way he approached life.

Jerry is survived by his father, Jerry Duane Dutton; Sister, Anita McDaniel and husband Larry; and a host of other friends and family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Effie Louise (Powers) Dutton, and other family.
